The Hunt started out as an idea to document the most exciting season we get as East Coast surfers. The Hunt is an annual webisode series documenting our adventures through every major hurricane, in a mini documentary fashion, branching out to all surf endemic online media outlets. 2010 marks the first year where I have compiled all of the footage from our adventures in to a Movie format.

The Hunt 2010 Movie is high energy surf shredding from Canada to the Caribbean during the 2010 hurricane season. Captured in stunning HD quality the surfing is the focus from Hurricanes Alex, Danielle, Earl, Igor and ending with Tropical Storm Nicole. Five sections in all with the lifestyle and scenic video footage telling our story of pursuit to catch this epic surf. All combined with a incredible soundtrack, The Hunt 2010 Movie is Produced to get you pumped to be a surfer as you watch your favorite East Coast surfers doing what they love in the locations they have grown up shredding.  With the common goal to catch the best surf they can find, Alek Parker takes you on his search through and around these massive weather systems with fellow surfers Cory Lopez, Ben Bourgeois, Brett Barley, Nils Schweizer and many more.

YESSS!!! this was by far the coolest, most awesome, radness of a event I have been a part of… If surfing at night wasn’t hard enough RedBull had to go in and step it up ten fold… Start off with getting whipped at the waves by a jetski at night, then trying to land the biggest air possible for $5,000, as well as challenging conditions and a 40 degree air temp, all of these things combined made up for a crazy exciting event… 3,000 people on the beach and pier created a very arena type feel for the event. The energy and lime light which this event created made you feel alot cooler then you really are… Each surfer went out for a 10 minute session twice with the overall best air taking the $5,000 cash prize. Everyone had a few good attempts but in the end it came down to Eric Geiselman sticking the best air for the win… Apparently, the judges said I had the only other air attempt that would have won, but to my dismay I choked and couldn’t stick the landing… Regardless, this was a incredible event and thanks to Jeremy Saukel for towing us in for 2 hours int windy freezing conditions and to Pamela at RedBull for the invite and putting together a incredible event… Here are some pics and the video of the event…

The King Of The Peak is one of the most fun but most nerve racking contest I do… It is a Skins format, where you claim the wave that you want to be scored. You can only claim one wave in your heat and once you do you have to come in and wait out your fait. There is only one guy advancing in each heat, when you win you move on the the next heat. You can get on a roll winning and moving forward and at the end of the weekend the guy with the most wins is the event champion. This year I didn’t win any heats… But I did manage to win the ESM Airshow event which earned me a cool $500 for going surfing… Thanks ESM and KOP…
