The Galapagos section from the Spectacular Adventures DVD is posted on Transworld Surf.com… Here are the words that accompanied the video in their post…
As we all know, Charles Darwin’s The Origin of Species laid the foundation for the theory of evolution based on natural selection. Many of his cited findings are based on an exploration to the Galapagos Islands, or their official name of Archipiélago de Colón, aboard the famousBeagle. Darwin noted many differences in the same species (most notably finches) amongst the different islands within the island chain.
These days the Galapagos are a World Heritage Site and a Biosphere Reserve for their rare species, diverse landscapes, and natural beauty. And they’ve also got some quality surf.
The Spectacular Adventures!crew headed there a while back to include some footage in their newly released movie, Super Spectacular Adventures! Check out the Galapagos section above with ripping from the likes of Cory Lopez, Asher Nolan, Alek Parker, and Zander Morton, as well as the crew getting familiar with the indigenous species of the famous island chain.
TDC (Todd DiCiurcio) Is one of the most amazing artist I know he has Tshirt designs at the gap and paints incredible still life portraitures of some of the biggest actors, models and bands… On a recent surf trip to NY I stayed with him and his wife Megan in Brooklyn… I was lucky enough for Todd to custom paint me a original shirt… Here is the process…

On a recent trip up to NYC chasing the swell from Tropical Storm Ida, I stayed in Brooklyn with my good friends Todd and Megan DiCiurcio… Todd is a very amazing artist specializing in still life portraiture and is very well know in the fine arts community, meaning I could never afford one of his canvases no matter how bad I want one… His wife Megan works for Dolce & Gabana and between the 2 of them I find myself in many random ass parties that there is no way I should be attending… So I try to blend in and take advantage of the open bar and food while brushing shoulders with all kinds of humans that before were just pictures on a screen… Which leaves us at this photo… This is me on the right trying to not be in the way of the camera while Daniel Day-Lewis and wife Rebecca Miler show face at the party… In hindsight I should of just jumped in there like the guy on the left and threw up a big old thumbs up… Maybe next time…
The surf was incredible and worth the last minute travel. I put together a short video diary of the trip but im waiting for the surf footage from Nate Lee who was up there shooting with Benny B so I can piece it all together and post it up here… Ida was the perfect storm to do a episode of The Hunt but do to lack of funding for the project I had to just do a solo trip to get some surf (which Im not mad about)…
